Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Commercial Solar Deal Facilitator (NEO Network) in our Energy and Sustainability Services group. Located in Louisville, KY.

The NEO Network is a digital platform aimed at enabling corporations to take action on carbon reduction energy solutions. The Solution Provider Success team is responsible for managing customer success for our solution provider members. This includes performing a liaison role in delivery consulting services, interpreting and delivering pertinent marketing data, and owning the relationship to ensure customer satisfaction. This team is also responsible for facilitating connections and, to some degree, successful deals between solution provider and corporate members of the NEO Network.


This role will be focused more on the deal facilitation function, primarily in the realm of distributed generation solutions like onsite solar, battery energy storage, fuel cells, and the like. As such, some background and familiarity with these solutions is essential for this role. You will also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, organizational ability, and a problem-solving, strategic approach. As this role will include both business development and operational components, a strong aptitude for pursuing leads to closure is essential. Comfort and experience in working with datasets is required as well. Success will look like the creation of opportunities and closing of deals between solution provider and corporate members of the NEO Network.


What will you do?

  • Develop deep understanding of the key climate and clean energy solution areas including on and off-site renewable and distributed energy resources, offset and credit mechanisms
  • Maintain relationships and member satisfaction with solution providers / developers
    Together with other members of the Solution Provider Success team, deliver market intelligence to solution provider / developer members through consultative sessions typically with mid-level to senior leaders
  • Be an engaged and accessible resource for developer members seeking guidance engaging with the Platform, utilizing the features, or responding to specific inquiries
  • Use analytical tools and features of the Platform to identify key solutions and opportunities for members and present potential offers via NEO Network engagement channels on a continual basis
  • Partner and drive engagement between project developers and corporate decision-makers to educate, scope and execute value-added renewable energy and decarbonization solutions
  • Contribute to evolving strategy of NEO Network in collaboration with global team and support growth and expansion to markets beyond North America
  • Support the NEO Network team with research and data management necessary for ongoing Platform expansion and evolution

What qualifications will make you successful? 

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Energy, Business, Finance, Engineering, sustainability or a related technical field
  • At least 4+ years of experience in solar developing, distribution and/or sales
  • Experience leading strategic client relationships
  • Consistent, clear communicator both verbally and written with demonstrated ability to inspire commitment and action from clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with on and offsite PPA project design and implementation
  • Proficiency with data analytics and visualization software (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI)
