This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that aligns with our overall business strategy
- The Head of Content will manage all content teams and ensure that all content is of the highest quality and aligned with our brand’s messaging and values
- As a senior leadership role, the Head of Content will direct marketing functions and act as the subject matter expert for the topics and products our company focuses on, writes, and talks about
- The ideal candidate should have at least eight years of experience and a track record of leading efforts within organizations
- The Head of Content must have a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or an equivalent field and ideally a master’s in business administration or have good business savvy
- The ideal candidate should be diverse in capability and capable of leading a variety of initiatives such as creating an amazing script for a new video, refreshing our brand strategy, and developing content across all our properties
- The Head of Content must be an expert in the HR industry and understand the importance of affordable care act compliance, pay equity, diversity, inclusion, compensation, payroll, and many other human capital management and compliance areas
- The Head of Content must be able to own the content strategy and come up with it themselves with buy-in and approval from the leadership team
- The Head of Content must be a strategic leader who can direct the work of many other writers in our writer network as well as a host of other contractors who support the function
- The Head of Content must ensure that all content is production-ready before submitting it for review
- The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of technology, including the ability to edit a WordPress page and knowledge of SEO best practices
- The Head of Content will collaborate with marketing, sales, and contract agencies to create effective messaging and craft engaging email, social media, and advertising campaigns.
- The Head of Content will use their analytical skills and data-driven thinking to monitor marketing metrics and identify what’s working and what’s not
- Additionally, the Head of Content will leverage keyword analysis to optimize copy for SEO while remaining informative and entertaining
- Utilize exceptional communication and presentation skills to educate, entertain, and engage the audience while facilitating webinars
- The ideal candidate must have a background in research and understand the importance of good research and how it can revolutionize human resources professionals and human resources lives
- The Head of Content must be capable of directing the work of other writers to ensure high-quality work that aligns with our brand, products, and marketing goals
- The Head of Content must be able to communicate complex software products and how they work to the audience effectively
- They must have an understanding of statistics, math, technology, and human resources information systems like ADP, UKG, SAP, and Workday
- The Head of Content must be capable of measuring the effect of their work on a weekly basis and have a track record of leading efforts that generate significant revenue impact
- Fluent in: Google Suite (Docs, Slide and Sheets), Asana, Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Hubspot
- Able to edit: WordPress HTML
